Kodak will include GPS in it’s camera range starting in 2009. GPS (the Global Positioning System) shows you where you are in the world by checking with satellites orbiting above us. The location information will be stored in the EXIF information of the image, and will be able to be retrieved using common software.
It’s no longer a case of saying “One, Two, Three, Smile” then taking the photo. Instead you can press the “Smile Shutter”, and your camera will automatically take the photo when your subjects smile!

Have a few minutes to spare? Take a look at Flickrvision, an ingenious web application that marries Google Maps with recently uploaded photos to Flickr. It zooms all over the world and shows you the new photos, as well as points you to where they were uploaded from!
Adobe Lightroom 1.1 has been released and is available free to anyone who purchased version 1.0. You can download the upgrade from Adobe’s Lightroom Website.
Well, summer is here (at least for the Northern Hemisphere) and this is one time of year that the camera manufacturers release a whole lot of new cameras.
